7 Applications to Make Developing on a PC easier.

Are there any quality development apps for Window PC’s. So i set out to look through what i have used in the past and now to appeal to the masses ; The beginning developer , the average developer , and the “Knowledgeable” ones too.

Simple CSS

Simple Css is a great little application from the folks at Hostm.com It is more aimed at the beginners to CSS as it allows you to pic from a list of common elements and style them with ease , you can also make your own just as easily. The application is free so it’s worth checking out.
XAMPP

XAMPP is all you need to test your scripts without using your webserver and having google index what you are doing. It supports PHP , MYSQL , and runs Apache locally. Its very easy to set up despite it no playing nicely with Pidgin IM or Sykpe.
MeasureIT

Measure it allows you to measure elements on screen. Its a very nice Firefox extension , Is easy to use.

Excellent article, you’ve inspired me to create my own list for Windows apps (at some point!) as I use it a lot at work.
I tell you what, though. That E-TextEditor is damn good! It’s pretty much a clone of TextMate for the Mac. I’ve been using it since you recommended it here and it’s rocketed to the top of my most useful web development apps on Windows. For that I must extend to you my thanks.
